First Full Summer Week!

Chris and I have been looking forward to this week for so long!  It was the first week in which we thought we'd have time to just hang out and relax some.

However, this week ended up being crazy (but in ALL fun fun fun ways)!

First off, I began my first full week working at Pure Barre!  Oh my gosh I absolutely love it! Basically I spend time with the most wonderful fun and interesting women in Louisville, I work out, I clean and I manage the retail! SO MUCH FUN!  

AND I found out this week that I will be trained June 9th to be a Pure Barre instructor! AH! I'm so so so excited.  They're flying me out to *Denver* to be trained too! I can't wait.

Monday night after work, I took Riley, the oldest Pace (Our marry lessons couple) girl on our "date".  The previous week I had been on a date with Ella the middle one.  We had so much fun! First we went to Lula's yogurt where you put your own toppings on.  Then we went to the mall to look around.  Next we had dinner at Chick-fil-a where we got the neatest toy ever: a field guide to identifing trees! It was a book and each page was in the shape of a leaf and told about the kind of tree the leaf came from.  We had such a fun afternoon/night!

Monday night Jenna and I began our new tradition of watching the bachelorette! Ah I love it!

Tuesday night we went on a double date with Jenna and Jared! They seriously are wonderful and Chris and I are so blessed to have each made good friends in Louisville who are dating! It's perfect!

Wednesday WE GOT OUR WEDDING PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!  So I spent most of the afternoon drooling over them.  Besides that it wasn't much fun because I worked on a presentation on my lab rotation for my department all night after work... No fun!  It was neat to see how much research I've done and to put it all together!

Thursday after work  I got my hair done! WHa WHOO!! I love love love my hair dresser, Sarah at blades salon.  SHe's absolutely the most fun person to talk to!   After my hair, Chris and I went to our Community Group Cook out!   It was so nice getting to just hang outside and eat and catch up with everyone.

Today I went into the lab and gave a practice go at my presentation... It went ok.  Lots more work to do.  Then, I went with Chris to pick up all 3 Pace girls!  As a thank you for their counseling, Chris and I treated them to a night out!  The girls and I went to the pool, made pizzas, watched a movie, went back to the pool, made cupcakes and now they have passed out hard and I'm just hanging out til Beth and Josh get home!  

It's been a good week... We're so very blessed

Wedding #1

This weekend, Chris and I traveled back to Fl to take part in Chris's old, good friend, Matt's wedding.  Matt was in our wedding 2 months ago and Chris was a groomsmen in Matt's wedding this weekend.  

To get the best flights, we flew into Tampa.... Which means I got to see two of my besties!!  Carly was sweet enough to drive from Tampa to Sanford to pick me up from the airport and then take me back to her apt.  It was so great getting to spend the night with Carly! I got to see her life: where she lives, where she goes out, where she works, everything.  It's weird that she's my bff and she's lived there for 7 months and this was the first time I'd seen it.  She has her room and apt fixed up SO cute!  

We stayed up wayyy late into the wee hours of the morning talking.  

The next day I went to work with her! It was fun seeing how legit her work place is!

When she went into work, another bff, Lindsay who's a nurse was just getting off so she met me for coffee right by Carly's office! I had such a great time catching up with her and hearing how she's doing!

After we were done with breakfast, Chris and his good friend Dan met up with us,  picked me up and the 3 of us made our way to Ponte Vedre!

My good friend Katie and her husband Sean live in PV so we stayed at their house.  Sadly they weren't there... The love birds are celebrating their 1 year anniversary in Cali!  But we enjoyed having a beautiful home to stay in!  That afternoon we went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  YuMMMm was the food good!! We had such a great time at the dinner!

The next morning I got up and went to get my nails done with the bride and her bridesmaids and then hung out with them until they left to get ready.  By then, Chris's good friends Josh and Bill and Josh's gf Sarah were in town so they came to Katie and Seans and we all got to hang out before the wedding.  

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and perfect and the reception was a darn blast!  We danced the night away!

Wednesday morning we got up bright and early to say goodbye to Chris's parents. Then we were sneaky and went to run errands to finish his moms mothers day gift :) We left it at his dads work so she wouldn't know we'd left one! I love happy surprises and couldn't wait til mothers day to hear that she got it!

Anyways, we got on the road and then stopped in tally to have lunch with our friends still there. I dropped Chris off with his boys then went over to littles house! I absolutely love her and love getting to talk and hang with her in person. Phone relationships are fun but being with people is so much better.

Anyways after tally we got to pc just in time to make it to a friend of ours, Catherine's, 18th birthday dinner! My whole family went and we had a good time!!

We went home to my moms and opened all of our presents from the wedding! My sweet marge came over to help. Oh my gosh we are so blessed!! We got so much more stuff than I even imagined! The whole living room was taken over! Ah I can't wait to take it all to Louisville!

The next morning we woke up bright and early and took the boat to shell island and spent the day there! It was a picture perfect day. The weather was gorgeous, Susan packed the yummiest food, and we all enjoyed relaxing and chatting. Chris also climbed the jetties for his first time with me! I really live climbing those rocks... After we climbed the rocks we really spent the rest of the day napping and talking with dad, Susan and Ross.

When we got done with the boat we packed all of our wedding presents that we had doubles of or needed to return and headed to the beach house. There, mom, Hal and his brother Judy were waiting for us! They made us an amazing dinner of homemade onion rings and steaks. Yummmmmm! We sat chatting and hanging until late that night.

Chris and I are so blessed to have parents that love us so much. I'm so thankful for my parents and the effort they make for us to have a goodrw when we come visit. I'm also very glad to have panama city as my home town. The beach and boat is such a fun way to spend family time!

Auburndale!

We arrived in Auburndale pretty late in the evening Saturday night and just hung out with Chris's parents.  Greyson was there so we played with him too.  Ms. Cindy and I looked through the 100's of wedding pictures that I had printed that were taken by friends and family... We're still anxiously awaiting the professional ones!

Sunday morning we got up bright and early and went to the church that Chris's brother and brother's wife, Eric and Ginny go to.  It was a cool Sunday because one of Eric's best friends who I have gotten to meet many times, Luke and his wife Naomi were speaking about their current calling to move to the Dominican Republic to serve.  It was really neat that a "normal" family that I had gotten to know feels called to serve over seas in a third world country.  They've sold everything in their home, are living with their parents and ready to move when it's time. It was such a challenge for me to continue to listen to the voice of Jesus and to make sure that serving and loving him is the cry of my heart, not trinkets and success here.  Thanks Luke and Naomi for listening to the Lord and being an example for us all!

Then after church we went to DISNEY!!!!!  Chris and I made it to ALL FOUR PARKS IN ONE AFTERNOON!

Chris, his parents and I went to Animal Kingdom before Ginny and Eric came with Greyson.  Mr. Dave and Ms. Cindy were awesome! They rode Mt. Everest with us!!

 We also went on the Safari ride which was awesome! We saw Lions, Giraffes, Rhinos, a lot of animals!

Then we made our way to "Hollywood Studios" (or MGM as I still call it).  Chris and I ran off and rode Tower of Terror and the Rock n Rollercoaster on our own and that was so much fun! I literally felt like a kid! I love those rides :)   

Eric, Ginny and Greyson then met us and so we played with Greyson for awhile.

When we were done with Hollywood studios, we made our way to epcot and hung out there for the rest of the night.  We had dinner in Japan and it was YUM!

Monday morning I thought I'd get to sleep in, but Annabelle was up at 6:30 am.  So I went ahead and got up and Ms. Cindy and I sat on their back porch and talked for a good long while that morning while Annabelle and their dog Jake played in the back yard.  It was so nice getting to talk to her.  I really enjoyed our morning chats this week!  Getting to know the woman that raised my prince charming is such a cool thing...

Chris and Eric went to play basketball later that morning and so Greyson and I got some good bonding time that morning.  We went to lunch with Greyson, Eric, Ms. Cindy, Chris and I.  It was so much fun! Greyson is such entertainment :)

That afternoon Ms. Cindy, Chris and I went shopping a little bit for some friends upcoming wedding presents.  We stopped at Starbucks and took advantage of 1/2 price frapps again!  We had such a good talking and literally hung out and chatted for an hour!

The next morning Chris and I went to the Social Security office and officially changed my name!!! Such fun!

That afternoon we went with his Parents to Lakeland to play around for the afternoon.  Then we picked Greyson up from daycare and took him to the park! He's the absolute cutest.  Then we came home and Chris's Aunt Mary and Uncle Chuck came over for dinner.  Greyson entertained us most of the night.

On the Road Again

Our summer vacation time has begun! We are en route to visit both our families in the sunshine state. We're going to Auburndale first and since that was a 14 hour trip, we decided to leave Friday afternoon and stop in Roswell to spend the night with my Aunt Julie and Uncle George!

We stopped at the Y to pick up our mothers presents for mothers day. My good friend Julie helped me with the presents :) We got on the road about 2 and hoping to get to Aunt Julie's around 8. Well there was stand as till traffic for 1.5 hours! Ugh! We finally got to their house at 10 and they had dinner still warm for us. So we sat and ate and enjoyed each others company for a few hours then went to sleep.

Date Night!

Last night Chris and I went on our first official date night as a married couple!  Before you start the judging, we've had finals and have been studying for 4 weeks straight.  Anyways, last night there was a glimmer of a break for Chris (I finished Thursday, remember?).  Chris's mom and dad sent us an Easter Card with money in it so we used the money for a date night! Thanks Mom K!

First I went to my first Pure Barre class in over a week since I'd been so sick.  I was bummed I missed that long but getting back in there yesterday felt so good.  And it was the perfect beginning for a perfect night. We went to dinner and took over 2 hours just talking and catching up.  

I don't know why, but when we are date nights, good, rich conversations come up.  One reason is that there have been a few spiritual questions I've been mulling over in my head and was excited to have a chance to bring them up with Chris.  He is such a man of wisdom and insight.  I value what he says so much. It's also fun because we're working through predestination and what it means and the two of us somewhat differ in our views.  One of the questions I had for him was "Why do we want to share the gospel?" and one of Chris's answers was "So people can have conversations as rich and deep as this one now" and it's so true.  One thing I love about both of us being followers of Christ is that often we have rich deep conversations about Christ or about walking with him.  It's not only good for knowing the Lord more, but it's good for deepening our level of intimacy.  

Needless to say we had such a fun time at dinner and I fell more madly in love with my wonderful husband.  Then we went to see the 5 Year Engagement! Ah I loved it! I love being forced to chill and sit still in a dark movie theater for 2.5 hours.  No phones, no computers, no studying... perfection!
